For over two decades, Olive has been one of India’s most influential restaurant brands, known for its white-walled spaces that bring together good food, warmth, and conversation. After successful openings in Chandigarh, Ludhiana, and Kolkata, Olive Café & Bar has returned to Mumbai with two new outlets in Bandra Kurla Complex and Borivali’s Sky City Mall. Led by restaurateur AD Singh, Founder and MD of the Olive Group of Restaurants, the new openings introduce a lighter, café-forward format for the brand in its home city.
The BKC outlet is designed as a calm, sun-lit space amid the city’s busy business district, bringing Olive’s Mediterranean-inspired aesthetic to Mumbai’s corporate hub. Designed by architect Vivek Popli of Vipasana Designs in collaboration with Sabina Singh, Design Director at Olive Group, the interiors feature a soft palette of whites, blues, and greens inspired by sun-washed Mediterranean architecture.
The Mumbai menu is led by Chef Jyotika, Brand Chef, and Chef Christopher D’souza, Cluster Chef for Olive Café & Bar. The menu focuses on relaxed café-style dining with an emphasis on fresh produce and seasonal flavours. Signature dishes include mezze platters, slow-cooked pork ribs, pizzas and flatbreads made with slow-fermented dough, kimchi rice bowls, Korean fried chicken, and a range of salads and desserts. The menu is designed to be inclusive, with vegan, keto, gluten-free, and Jain options. Catering to its corporate location, the BKC outlet also offers express lunches, corporate meal boxes, and grab-and-go options.
The Borivali rooftop outlet offers a relaxed global café menu suited to mall visitors and suburban diners. Highlights include soups, risottos, pizzas, salads, bowls, and classic comfort dishes such as mac and cheese and Margherita pizza. The menu continues Olive’s focus on clean flavours, seasonality, and inclusive dining, with vegan, gluten-free, and Jain options available.
The beverage programme across both outlets is led by mixologist Harish Chhimwal and includes signature cocktails, zero-proof drinks, kombuchas, iced teas, and freshly brewed Arabica coffees. The Borivali terrace also features a selection of zero-proof cocktails and hand-rolled Himalayan teas, making both locations suited for all-day dining.
“Olive has always grown with Mumbai’s spirit: curious, generous and full of life. With Olive Café & Bar in BKC and our expansive Borivali terrace, we wanted to open spaces that feel instantly familiar yet gently renewed, calm pauses in the middle of the city’s momentum. This marks a significant new chapter for Olive in Mumbai, and we look forward to welcoming guests to experience the finer things in life, while still carrying forward everything Olive has always stood for,” says AD Singh, Founder & MD of The Olive Group of restaurants
