Restaurant India News: Ochre Spirits Expands with New Gin Launch, Eyes Rs 145 Crore Revenue

Ochre Spirits has expanded its portfolio with the introduction of two new gin variants, Original Dry Gin and Plum Citron Gin, as part of its strategy to increase its footprint in India’s craft spirits segment. The Goa-based company has also revised its revenue outlook, setting a target of Rs 145 crore over the next three years, reflecting an upward adjustment driven by increasing demand for premium offerings.

Both variants have been launched with an alcohol content of 40 percent ABV and are positioned to address shifting consumer preferences within the category. Original Dry Gin has been developed as a traditional botanical-led product, while Plum Citron Gin is targeted at younger consumers, with a focus on fruit-forward flavour profiles.

The company currently operates in Goa, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Puducherry, and has outlined plans to expand its presence to seven states and 34 cities in the upcoming financial year. This expansion is expected to strengthen its distribution network and improve availability across both retail and hospitality channels.

John Royerr, Founder, Ochre Spirits, said, “The category is moving from experimentation to conviction, with consumers actively choosing craft spirits. Our focus now is to scale distribution and be present where this demand is growing.”

Ochre Spirits, which also has a presence in the rum and vodka segments, stated that the new gin launches are intended to enhance its positioning across premium retail and on-trade environments. The move aligns with broader industry trends where hospitality operators are increasingly incorporating craft spirits into their offerings to meet evolving consumer demand.
