Restaurant India News: Nksha Launches New North Indian Menu in Churchgate

Nksha, a premium North Indian restaurant in Churchgate, has introduced a revised menu focused on regional depth and category expansion. The update marks the brand’s second major menu refresh and reflects its strategy to strengthen positioning in Mumbai’s competitive fine-dining segment.

The new offering is structured around tandoor-led appetisers, slow-cooked gravies, seafood-led mains and a reworked cocktail program. The starter selection includes BBQ Chicken Tikka Kulcha, Banjara Chicken Tikka and Roti Pe Boti, highlighting char-based cooking techniques and marinade-led flavour profiles. Vegetarian additions such as Oyster Mushroom Tikka, Water Chestnut Tandoori and Three Seed Hara Bhara Kebab aim to broaden appeal among plant-forward diners. The menu also retains familiarity-driven items including Murg Kali Mirch Shorba and Sooji ke Golgappe, positioned within a more premium dining format.

The beverage program has been updated to align with the food pairing strategy. Cocktails such as Floral Picante, Mint Martini, Bombay Club, Amber Smoke and Kokum Spritz are designed to complement the spice-forward menu. A non-alcoholic Saffron Lassi has been retained to cater to traditional preferences within a fine-dining environment. From a commercial standpoint, curated beverage pairing supports higher average spend per table and extended dwell time.

The main course section continues to anchor the brand in North Indian cuisine. Vegetarian dishes include Kadhai Paneer, Three Sev Tamatar Curry, Aloo Gobi Adraki, Bhindi Do Pyaza and Subz Kofta, built around slow-cooked gravies and balanced spice profiles. On the non-vegetarian side, Smoked Laal Maas, Mutton Beliram and Murg Rogan Josh form part of the core offering. The seafood category has been expanded with Dum Ka Jhinga, Butter Pepper Garlic Prawns & Crab Meat and Lehsuni Lobster Tikka Makhni, reflecting a move toward higher-value menu additions.

Street-inspired plates such as Raj Kachori remain part of the offering, supported by breads and accompaniments including Chur Chur Naan and Tandoori Mirchi. The dessert menu continues with Classic Saffron Phirni and Amritsari Flat Gulab Jamun, maintaining a traditional close to the meal.

With this menu revision, Nksha appears to be focusing on strengthening its premium North Indian positioning through controlled innovation rather than concept overhaul. In a market where diners increasingly seek both familiarity and refinement, the restaurant’s updated portfolio aims to drive repeat visits while protecting its established identity within South Mumbai’s upscale dining circuit.
