NILE Hospitality has announced the signing of its first Marriott-branded hotel in Patna, marking a key development for the city’s hospitality market and a significant step in NILE Hospitality’s national expansion strategy. The project introduces Marriott Hotels & Resorts to Patna, making it the city’s first international hotel under a global hospitality brand.
The upcoming Marriott Hotel Patna will feature 205 rooms and will be located approximately 15 minutes from Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport. The property is positioned to cater to both business and leisure demand and is expected to set new service and operational benchmarks for the region. According to the announcement, the hotel will offer access to Marriott Bonvoy’s global loyalty network and operate under Marriott International’s established full-service standards.
Planned facilities include a premium all-day dining restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool, and extensive banqueting and lawn spaces. With this infrastructure, the hotel is expected to become one of Patna’s largest venues for weddings, social functions, and corporate events.
The signing represents NILE Hospitality’s first partnership with Marriott International and reinforces the company’s focus on expanding across high-growth markets in India through collaborations with global brands. The Patna project forms part of NILE’s broader growth roadmap and supports its positioning as a rapidly scaling hospitality management platform.
Patna has seen increased corporate activity driven by infrastructure development and rising demand for organised, premium accommodation. The entry of an international hotel brand is expected to reshape the city’s hospitality offerings and address the growing requirements of business travellers and large-format social events.
The hotel is being developed by Nutan Hospitality and will be operated by NILE Hospitality under Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Marriott International’s flagship premium brand and its most established full-service portfolio globally.
Ayush Kumar Sinha, director, Nutan Hospitality, said, “Patna is emerging as a significant commercial and cultural hub, and MHRS Patna is aligned with our commitment to support the city's upward momentum. With Marriott bringing unmatched global credibility. and NILE Hospitality offering years of proven operational expertise, we are confident this hotel will contribute meaningfully to the city's progress and deliver reliable performance.”
Vikram Singh Chauhan, founder and CEO, NILE Hospitality, said, “This signing represents a defining milestone for NILE Hospitality. The partnership with Nutan Hospitality aligns perfectly with our strategic vision: to bring truly global brand and hospitality experiences to Patna and build a lasting legacy for this dynamic city, building scalable, performance-driven hotels across high-potential markets. With a robust pipeline in place, we are on track to add 1,000 rooms under the Marriott portfolio by the end of this year.”
The Patna signing also strengthens Marriott International’s footprint in Eastern India and aligns with the group’s strategy to expand into fast-growing Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities with strong economic fundamentals, according to the release.
