Restaurant India News: JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar Names Kelvin Lee as Director of Rooms

JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar has announced the appointment of Kelvin Lee as Director of Rooms, strengthening its senior leadership team at a time when luxury hotels continue to sharpen focus on operational efficiency and guest experience. With more than 15 years of experience across India’s luxury hospitality sector, Kelvin brings hands-on expertise in rooms operations, pre-opening projects, and service delivery.

An alumnus of the Oberoi Centre of Learning & Development, Kelvin has worked with several established hotel brands, including The Oberoi Udaivilas, The Oberoi Amarvilas, The Oberoi New Delhi, The Oberoi Grand Kolkata, Trident Bandra Kurla Mumbai, and The Oberoi Gurgaon. His professional background spans rooms division leadership as well as Food and Beverage operations, giving him a comprehensive understanding of hotel operations.

Kelvin said, “I believe that the key to exceptional hospitality lies in anticipating guest needs and ensuring every touchpoint in the rooms division reflects consistency, comfort, and care. At JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar, I aim to bring this approach to every guest experience.”

Kelvin has also been involved in major hotel openings, including Trident Hyderabad and ITC Royal Bengal, Kolkata. Prior to his current role, he served as Front Office Manager at The Oberoi Amarvilas, where he oversaw guest experience standards and daily operations. Earlier, at Trident Jaipur, he managed front office operations with responsibilities spanning overall hotel performance, financial oversight, and team development.

In his new role at JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar, Kelvin will be responsible for leading the Rooms Division, with a focus on improving service standards, driving operational efficiencies, and maintaining guest satisfaction across all points of interaction. His appointment aligns with the hotel’s ongoing efforts to strengthen operational leadership in Mumbai’s competitive luxury hospitality market.
