ITC Grand Chola has reopened its signature restaurant, Madras Pavilion, marking a new chapter for one of Chennai’s most well-known dining destinations. The refreshed design brings in bolder colours and contemporary aesthetics while retaining the restaurant’s core focus on comfort global flavours and regional authenticity. The space features a central live kitchen and flexible seating arrangements to accommodate family gatherings and business meetings.
A key addition is the new private dining room, MPR1639, named after the founding year of Madras. The space seats 25 to 30 guests and is designed for curated tasting experiences, business luncheons, and private celebrations. It is equipped with a large screen for real-time events or meetings and offers the signature Ellai Sappad, a traditional South Indian meal served on a banana leaf. This experience, available by reservation, is offered in vegetarian, non-vegetarian, and seafood options.
The restaurant’s updated menu blends local favourites with international dishes. Highlights include Madras Fried Chicken, Ghee Roast Tacos, Edamame and Corn Shumai, Kozhi Chettinad, and a variety of biryanis such as Ambur Kozhi Biryani and Sarai Gosht ki Biryani. European influences feature in items like Lamb and Mozzarella Lasagne, Spinach and Ricotta Florentine, and Honey-Glazed Pork. For lighter options, diners can choose from Buddha bowls, salads, and fresh juices.
The beverage program, titled “Vera Level Unlocked”, introduces seven signature mocktails inspired by Chennai’s culture. Drinks like Cheeky Chikoo, Inji Kaapi, Jamun Soda, and Marina 63 are available in single or bottle serves, accompanied by familiar favourites like Rose Milk and Goli Sodas.
Shaariq Akhtar, General Manager, ITC Grand Chola, stated, “For over a decade, Madras Pavilion has been where Chennai gathers, be it for celebrations, conversations, and shared stories over a meal. With this relaunch, we’re bringing back that warmth in a new avatar, one that honours its legacy while embracing Chennai’s evolving tastes and experiences.”
Chef Mayank Kulshreshtha, Area Executive Chef – South, ITC Grand Chola and ITC Hotels, added, “Madras Pavilion has always been an emotion for Chennai, a place where flavours tell stories of both home and the world. The reimagined menu celebrates the city’s love for diversity through comfort global flavours and regional authenticity, presented with craftsmanship and creativity.”
The restaurant has introduced special buffet offers as part of the reopening. Lunch and dinner buffets are priced at Rs 1,999 plus taxes per person, valid until November 30, 2025. The Sunday Brunch is priced at Rs 3,950 inclusive of soft beverages, Rs 4,750 with select beverages, and Rs 5,750 with sparkling beverages. The buffet includes options for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert, with children below six years dining free and those aged six to eleven receiving a 50 percent discount.
Madras Pavilion has also introduced themed Sunday brunches throughout the year, each with a new menu and curated beverage pairings. Guests can also purchase buffet vouchers starting from Rs 49,999 for 25 meals, with discounts for higher quantities.
With this relaunch, ITC Grand Chola’s Madras Pavilion reinforces its position as a key player in Chennai’s evolving dining landscape, offering a mix of heritage, innovation, and global dining standards.
