Restaurant India News: Effingut Breweries Launches New Brewpub in Belapur, Navi Mumbai

Effingut Breweries has expanded its presence in Maharashtra with the launch of a new brewpub in Navi Mumbai, marking the company’s entry into the Belapur market as demand for craft beer and experience-led dining continues to grow across emerging urban hubs.

Located at Mahavir Icon in CBD Belapur, the new 2,300 sq. ft. outlet accommodates 130 guests across indoor and outdoor seating formats. The brewpub features 14 taps serving Effingut’s core beer portfolio along with rotating seasonal brews, while also introducing the company’s wider food and beverage programme to Navi Mumbai for the first time.

The expansion aligns with Effingut’s broader neighbourhood-focused growth strategy, targeting locations with rising dining demand and a growing working population. The company identified Belapur as a strategic market due to increasing consumer interest in craft beer and limited organised options in the segment.

Manu Gulati, Founder & Managing Director, Effingut Breweries, said, “Belapur has been on our radar for a while — it’s a part of the city that works hard, plays hard, and genuinely deserves a space that does both well. We’ve always believed that great craft beer isn’t a privilege reserved for the island. With the new Navi Mumbai airport, this place has only gotten better. At Effingut Belapur, we’re not just opening another outlet — we’re giving Navi Mumbai its beer headquarters. And we intend to keep it Effingut.”

The Belapur outlet offers a beer selection that includes Hefeweizen, Belgian Wit, Japanese Rice Lager, Mango Cider, IPAs, and rotating seasonal brews. Effingut said the tap list will continue to evolve regularly, with small-batch and limited-edition offerings forming a key part of the customer proposition.

Founded in 2014 in Pune, Effingut Breweries currently operates 18 outlets and 3 breweries across Mumbai and Delhi NCR through multiple formats including brewpubs, bistros, and Effingut 2Go stores. The company has also expanded canned beer distribution to more than 360 outlets, supported by its cold-chain infrastructure.

The company said its food programme is centred around in-house production, with over 95 percent of sauces, condiments, syrups, and beverage infusions prepared internally. The menu at the Belapur outlet includes dishes such as Khou Suey, Mustard Chilli Prawns, Butter Chicken, Wild Wings, wood-fired pizzas, and shared dining formats aimed at group consumption.

The launch reflects the growing momentum in India’s craft beer and experiential dining market, where operators are increasingly expanding into high-density suburban and business districts to capture evolving consumer demand beyond traditional metro city centres.
