Dum Noorani, a Chandigarh-based restaurant brand focused on royal Indian cuisine, has recorded approximately 5X growth in its yearly order value since joining Zomato in 2019. The brand, which started as a takeaway kitchen, has expanded into a multi-city operation with 8 outlets across Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, and Punjab.
The company’s order volumes increased from nearly 12,000 orders in 2019 to over 55,000 orders in 2025, reflecting the growing role of food delivery platforms in scaling regional restaurant brands. The growth has been supported by a combination of menu adjustments, platform-led visibility tools, and targeted pricing strategies aligned with consumer demand.
Speaking about the journey, Mannat Singh, Founder of Dum Noorani, said, “Dum Noorani began as a humble yet powerful belief that royal Indian cuisine had to be served in its most authentic and truest form. Despite premium pricing, customers continue to resonate with the royal flavours served at our restaurant. With Zomato’s help, we have reached a wider customer base and continue to gain the confidence to scale.”
Aditya Mangla, CEO, Zomato, said, “What stands out about Dum Noorani is their unwavering commitment to flavour and consistency. Their growth is a reflection of the trust they have earned from customers over time.”
Since onboarding on Zomato, Dum Noorani has introduced new menu formats such as value-driven meal bundles, rolls, and party packs to cater to evolving consumption patterns. The brand has also used platform features including Brand Tile placements and advertising services to improve visibility and highlight key offerings like Dum Biryani. In addition, it has implemented targeted discounting and campaign strategies aligned with seasonal demand and average order value trends.
The company’s geographic expansion across North India has been driven by data-backed insights, including identification of high-demand clusters and underpenetrated locations. This approach has enabled the brand to scale beyond its original market while maintaining operational consistency.
Zomato has also been expanding its support ecosystem for restaurant partners to enable faster onboarding and operational efficiency. The platform offers a DIY onboarding tool that allows restaurants to go live within 15 minutes, along with access to a Restaurant Services Hub that connects operators with verified vendors for licensing, staffing, and hygiene compliance. In select markets, new partners are offered 0 percent commission for the first 30 days, along with advertising credits and access to Hyperpure supply services.
As of Q3 FY26, Zomato reported an average of 336,000 monthly active food ordering and delivery restaurant partners on its platform, indicating the scale at which digital aggregation is shaping the restaurant industry in India.
