Dhaba Estd. 1986 Delhi has reopened in Sector 129, Noida, marking its return to the NCR market with an updated format that combines legacy menu offerings with new experiential elements. The outlet is located at Gulshan One29 and is part of the brand’s ongoing effort to stay relevant in a competitive casual dining segment.
The restaurant continues to focus on North Indian cuisine, retaining core dishes such as Butter Chicken, Dal Dhaba, and tandoor-led kebabs, alongside a broader range of slow-cooked curries and regional preparations. The menu strategy reflects a balance between established bestsellers and an expanded offering aimed at increasing repeat visits and broader audience appeal. The brand is also expected to introduce its ‘Dhaba Da Desi Chinese’ range, targeting demand for Indo-Chinese formats within casual dining.
The reopening includes the introduction of a new bar programme titled “Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman”, which aims to integrate beverage-led experiences into the overall dining journey. The concept is positioned to reinterpret familiar Indian drinking habits through a contemporary approach, adding another revenue stream and extending customer dwell time.
The design of the outlet has also been updated to align with current consumer expectations. While retaining references to traditional roadside dhabas, the space incorporates modern elements through the use of colour, texture, and handcrafted detailing. This hybrid design approach is intended to appeal to both legacy customers and newer, urban diners seeking a more comfortable dine-in environment.
Rahul Khanna, Director, Azure Hospitality, said, “Dhaba Estd. 1986 Delhi has always been about celebrating the warmth and generosity of Indian hospitality. With this reopening at Gulshan One29, we are evolving the experience for today’s diner while staying deeply rooted in the flavours and spirit that define the brand.”
Vineet Kochar, Chief Operating Officer, Azure Hospitality, added, “This reopening allowed us to sharpen every aspect of the Dhaba experience from strengthening our menu and tandoor-led offerings to introducing new elements like ‘Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman’, our bar programme. The focus has been on creating a more immersive and layered dining experience.”
The reopening reflects a broader trend where legacy restaurant brands are upgrading formats to remain competitive, focusing on menu diversification, beverage innovation, and design-led upgrades. By combining established brand recall with new-format interventions, Dhaba Estd. 1986 Delhi is positioning itself to capture both existing loyalists and a new generation of diners in Noida’s evolving food and beverage market.
