Daryaganj Restaurants has expanded its presence in Aerocity with the launch of a second outlet, introducing a new premium format under the name Daryaganj Gold at GMR Square. The move marks a strategic scale-up for the brand in a high-footfall hospitality and retail hub.
The new outlet has a seating capacity of over 150 covers and represents an upgraded format focused on experience-led dining. The concept was first introduced in Bangkok earlier this year and has now been brought to Delhi as part of the brand’s domestic expansion.
The offering builds on the brand’s existing North Indian menu while introducing an exclusive Daryaganj Gold menu. The expanded menu includes a dedicated chaat section and new additions such as Dahi Bhalla Bingsu, Gol Gappa Trio, Mushroom Ram Ladoo, 24 Karat Mutton Biryani, Daryaganj Daulat Ki Chaat, and India Gate Avocado Bhel Puri. The restaurant continues to serve legacy dishes linked to recipes dating back to 1947, including Jelly Fruit Cream Custard and Nargasi Kofta.
The kitchen operations are led by Chef Gaurav Pandey, while Chef Deep Chand Dobriyal continues to oversee the brand’s core menu. The outlet also features an open kitchen format and introduces experiential elements such as “Five Senses Curries,” designed to engage diners through preparation and presentation stages.
The format integrates additional engagement-driven elements, including a live tawa and chaat section, chef-led dining experiences, and scheduled programming such as Studio Nights featuring live and curated performances. The outlet also includes private dining rooms accommodating groups of 8, 12, and 20 guests, targeting both social and corporate dining segments.
Amit Bagga, Co-Founder and CEO of Daryaganj Restaurants, said, “This is truly a full-circle moment for us. Seven years ago, around this time, we opened our very first Daryaganj restaurant here at Aerocity. With Daryaganj Gold now at GMR Square, Aerocity, we return with a much bigger, more elevated and immersive experience. Over the years, the response from guests here only kept growing. There were days when we had to turn people away, even on weekdays, and we consistently heard feedback asking for more space. Daryaganj Gold is our answer to that continued demand, allowing us to welcome more guests while presenting the brand at a grander scale.”
The ‘Gold’ branding references Swaran Jaggi, associated with the legacy of founder Kundan Lal Jaggi, and reflects the brand’s positioning of the new format. The company has indicated that it plans to maintain a controlled expansion strategy, with one Daryaganj Gold outlet per city in key markets.
The launch highlights a broader trend in the hospitality sector, where established restaurant brands are introducing premium formats focused on scale, experience, and differentiated menu offerings to drive higher customer engagement and repeat visits.
