
Cristal Azul, a premium tequila brand, has expanded its presence in India with its launch in Delhi. The move follows its earlier availability in Mumbai and Goa and reflects the brand’s ongoing efforts to scale within India’s premium spirits segment.
The tequila is produced in Mexico and further refined in New York. It is made using 100 percent Blue Weber Agave sourced from Jalisco, a region known for agave cultivation. The production process combines traditional tequila-making practices with modern techniques to deliver a balanced product aimed at both direct consumption and cocktail use.
The brand’s portfolio in India includes multiple variants such as Blanco, Reposado, Añejo, Extra Añejo, Gold, and Silver. Each variant differs in flavour profile, largely influenced by ageing duration and production methods.
Cristal Azul has also received recognition at international platforms. The Reposado variant has been awarded at the Michelangelo International Wine & Spirits Awards, while the Añejo expression has been recognised at the US Spirits Awards.
The brand’s entry into Delhi comes at a time when tequila is seeing increased adoption in India’s premium alcohol category, particularly across urban markets and hospitality venues. With its presence now extended to key cities, Cristal Azul is focusing on expanding availability through select premium retail outlets and hospitality-led channels, aligning with changing consumer preferences in metropolitan markets.
