Mumbai’s premium dessert segment continues to see steady expansion as Coppetto Artisan Gelato opens its fourth outlet in Oshiwara. The move strengthens the brand’s presence across key residential and high-footfall micro-markets, adding to its existing stores in Juhu, Chowpatty, and Jio World Drive, BKC.

Positioned as an artisanal gelato brand, Coppetto has built its identity around small-batch production, controlled ingredient sourcing, and a focused flavour portfolio. Its expansion strategy reflects growing consumer demand for premium, European-style frozen desserts within neighbourhood formats rather than mall-dependent locations.

The Oshiwara outlet is designed as a community-facing store aimed at driving repeat footfall from local residents. The format caters to multiple dayparts, including post-dinner dessert visits and afternoon consumption, supporting consistent throughput rather than peak-only demand. For operators, neighbourhood dessert stores offer lower dependency on occasion-driven traffic and higher frequency purchase cycles.
