Restaurant India News: Citron by Crimson Hotels Signs New Property in Dehradun, Targeting Weddings and Business Travel

Crimson Hotels has announced the signing of a new property under its upscale Citron brand in Dehradun, set to open in 2028. The move marks an important step in the company’s expansion strategy as it strengthens its presence in emerging hospitality markets across India. The new hotel will integrate business, leisure, and social experiences within one destination, aligning with the brand’s focus on creating multi-purpose hospitality spaces.

Situated in one of North India’s fastest-growing urban centers, the upcoming property will feature 65 modern rooms, three dining outlets offering varied culinary experiences, and spacious banqueting and conferencing facilities that can host up to 500 guests. Designed for versatility, the hotel will cater to business travelers, families, and the region’s expanding events and wedding market.

Dehradun’s growing reputation as an education and business hub, along with its proximity to popular tourist destinations like Mussoorie, has made it a preferred choice for both leisure and corporate travelers. The city’s increasing popularity as a wedding and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) destination has further boosted demand for premium hospitality offerings. Citron Dehradun aims to serve this evolving customer base by providing adaptable event venues, vibrant dining concepts, and well-planned accommodation with a contemporary touch.

Sandeep Maitraya, Founder & Director, Crimson Hotels, said, “Dehradun today is more than just a gateway to the hills. It has become a vibrant city attracting a wide range of travelers. From business meetings to weddings, the demand for well-designed venues and reliable service is growing rapidly. Citron Dehradun will bring fresh energy to the city with its event offerings, dining options and welcoming atmosphere.”

Expected to attract both local and outstation guests, the property will serve as a preferred venue for conferences, destination weddings, and social functions, while also acting as a convenient base for tourists exploring nearby hill stations. The signing underscores Crimson Hotels’ long-term plan to grow in cities driving the next wave of India’s hospitality expansion.
