Restaurant India News: Chinese Room Celebrates 50 Years of Serving Pune

Chinese Room is celebrating its 50th anniversary on July 7, 2026, marking five decades of operations since opening its doors in 1976 on East Street in Camp.

Established as one of the city's early restaurants serving authentic Cantonese cuisine, Chinese Room has evolved into a long-standing hospitality brand, catering to generations of customers including families, professionals, students, NRIs and visitors.

Over the years, the restaurant has received the Best Food and Service award 4 times in a row from the World Famous Restaurants International USA. Its menu continues to feature signature dishes such as Crispy Lotus Stem Honey Chilli, Corn Curd Mongolian, Golden Fried Prawns, Medley Fish, Thread Chicken, Chicken Imperial, Taipan Prawns Hot Chilli, Roast Duck Chilli, Roast Pork Chilli, Date Pancake with Ice Cream and Brownie with Ice Cream.

The restaurant has maintained its focus on consistent food quality and service while building a loyal customer base that has returned across generations.
