DS Group has announced an exclusive partnership with British dessert and bakery brand Ben’s Cookies, marking the company’s entry into India’s premium cookie and dessert retail segment.
Founded in 1983 at Oxford’s Covered Market in the UK, Ben’s Cookies is known for its freshly baked cookie offerings and “chunky and gooey” texture. Through the partnership, the brand will introduce a bakery-led retail format in India focused on in-store baking, fresh preparation, and ingredient-driven products.
The launch reflects increasing demand in India’s hospitality and food retail market for premium dessert concepts and freshly prepared bakery products, particularly among urban consumers seeking artisanal and experience-led dining options.
Ben’s Cookies will launch in India with flavours including Milk Chocolate Chunk, White Chocolate & Macadamia, Ginger & Dark, along with dedicated eggless variants tailored for local market preferences. The company will also introduce gifting formats targeting festive and corporate consumption occasions. Pricing for individual cookies will begin at Rs 325, while gifting assortments will be priced upwards of Rs 1500.
Sanskriti Gupta, Ben’s Cookies India, said, “The arrival of Ben’s cookies in India marks a significant milestone in DS Group’s strategic expansion within the premium food retail sector. We are delighted to introduce a piece of British heritage to the Indian market, combining a forty-year legacy of artisanal baking with DS Group’s rooted understanding of Indian palette and the ever-evolving consumer preferences. We have a robust retail expansion strategy which represents a significant pillar of DS Group’s growth objectives for Ben’s Cookies in India, with a target to establish eight to ten physical stores across India in the current financial year.”
The company said Ben’s Cookies products will also be available through ecommerce and food delivery platforms to support wider consumer access and convenience-led ordering.
Luke Menezes, Ben's Cookies, said, “To ensure our traditional, quality standards are mirrored in India, every Ben’s Cookies boutique will feature a live-oven baking fresh batches throughout the day. Beyond our world-famous cookies, we look forward to sharing an array of delicious treats, including rich cookie shakes, coffees, and cookie ice cream sandwiches. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to work with DS Group and look forward to becoming a cherished part of the Indian dessert landscape.”
Industry estimates cited by the company indicate that India’s cookie market, valued at USD 1.3 billion in 2024, is projected to reach USD 2.3 billion by 2033. The growth is being driven by rising urban spending and increasing consumer demand for premium and handcrafted food products.
Hospitality analysts note that international bakery and dessert brands are increasingly targeting India as consumers continue shifting toward premium café, gifting, and artisanal dessert experiences across metro and Tier-1 cities.
