Restaurant India News: Alcostar Expands into Chhattisgarh with Launch of Three Alco-Beverage Brands

Alcostar Group of Companies has expanded its presence in India with its entry into the Chhattisgarh market through the launch of three brands—Sherry Platinum Whisky, KIEV Vodka, and Royal General Gold. The move forms part of the company's broader strategy to strengthen its footprint across high-growth regional markets and build a diversified portfolio catering to evolving consumer preferences.

The expansion comes as Chhattisgarh continues to attract interest from alco-beverage companies due to increasing urbanisation, rising disposable incomes, the growth of organised retail and hospitality sectors, and a more brand-conscious consumer base. Industry stakeholders view the state as an emerging market with significant potential for premium and accessible premium beverage categories.

According to the company, its market entry strategy extends beyond product distribution and focuses on building retail visibility, strengthening trade relationships, and creating long-term consumer engagement across key markets in the state.

Arundeep Singla, Chairman & Managing Director, Alcostar Group of Companies, said, "Chhattisgarh is an important growth market for us, and this launch reflects our continued focus on expanding into high-potential regions across India. With Sherry Platinum Whisky, KIEV Vodka, and Royal General Gold, our objective is to offer consumers quality-driven brands that align with evolving lifestyle preferences and premium aspirations. As a company, we remain committed to building a stronger market presence, expanding our portfolio footprint, and creating brands that establish long-term consumer connect."

The newly introduced portfolio has been designed to address multiple consumer segments. Sherry Platinum Whisky has been positioned in the premium whisky category, targeting consumers seeking a balanced and consistent drinking experience. KIEV Vodka has been introduced for urban consumers and contemporary consumption occasions, while Royal General Gold has been positioned within the accessible premium whisky segment, catering to a wider retail and on-trade audience.

The company said it has received an encouraging response from distributors and trade partners following the launch and is actively working to strengthen channel partnerships across urban and semi-urban markets in Chhattisgarh.

The launch reflects continued demand growth for branded alco-beverage offerings across restaurants, hotels, bars, and organised retail outlets in emerging regional markets. The company is currently evaluating additional market opportunities and consumer-focused innovations as it continues to scale its presence across India.
