Restaurant India News: Actor Mona Singh’s Kona Kona Launches Second Outlet in Mumbai

Kona Kona, the nostalgia-led bar founded by actor Mona Singh, has opened its second outlet in Marol, Andheri East. The new space marks the brand’s expansion beyond its original location, bringing its relaxed, familiar bar experience to a neighbourhood known for its busy work-life and social culture.

Spread across 2,000 square feet, the bar can seat nearly 100 guests. It retains the warm, easy-going feel of the original Kona Kona, with an intentionally unpolished design and a layout meant to encourage guests to linger.

The food menu continues to focus on comfort and familiarity, with a few new additions aimed at weekday lunches. New dishes include Lasooni Palak Khichdi, Makhani Paneer, Lasooni Palak Paneer, and a range of Sindhi and Punjabi curries. Lunch-friendly options such as Khow Suey and Veg Pulao have been added, alongside classics like Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken.

The menu also features regional favourites such as Lasooni Palak Chicken or Mutton, Hyderabadi Green Masala Chicken or Mutton, Goan Fish Curry, and Shorshe Malai served with rice. Desserts include Angoori Sandesh Kulfi. The bar menu remains unchanged, with a focus on flavour-driven cocktails. Signature drinks include the Bombay Sour, Rum Maro Rum, Kill Bill, and The Duck Knight.

"When we opened Kona Kona, the idea was never to build a ‘destination’ bar, it was to create a place people could return to without thinking twice. Andheri East felt like the perfect neighbourhood for that next chapter. The intention hasn’t changed at all. We’ve found our Kona here, it’s the same food, the same drinks, the same feeling, just living in a different every day. and even the Duck Man has come along. It’s just living in a different everyday” says Mona Singh.

With its second outlet, Kona Kona aims to offer the same dependable food, drinks, and laid-back atmosphere in a new part of the city.
