Restaurant India News: Abhijit Dey Launches Starline Hospitality with 8–10 Percent Growth Focus

Hospitality professional Abhijit Dey has announced the launch of Starline Hospitality, a Mumbai-based hotel management platform focused on operational performance, revenue optimisation, and brand consistency. The launch marks Dey’s transition into entrepreneurship after more than 15 years of experience across established hotel groups in India.

The company is positioned to address the gap between conventional hotel operations and changing consumer expectations, offering integrated management solutions across owned and franchised properties. It has set a target of 8–10 percent year-on-year sales growth while maintaining defined benchmarks for guest satisfaction and asset quality.

Starline Hospitality operates a dual-asset strategy. In owned hotels, the company assumes full profit and loss accountability, including oversight of operations, sales, and capital allocation. In franchised properties, it focuses on enforcing brand standards, representing owner interests, and improving royalty and fee structures. The model is structured to deliver measurable outcomes, with a focus on improving asset performance and returns for owners.

The company has outlined a performance commitment of 8–10 percent annual top-line growth, driven through improvements in RevPAR and GOP. It also mandates 100 percent compliance with brand standard operating procedures across franchised assets, alongside the use of its internal Starline Quality Index for owned properties. Cost efficiencies are being addressed through centralised procurement, labour optimisation, and energy management initiatives.

Dey’s prior experience includes leadership roles at Stone Wood Hotels and Resorts, Great Value Hospitality, VITS Kamats Hotels, Cambay Hotels & Resorts, and K Raheja Hotels, covering functions such as sales, business development, and asset management.

“Starline Hospitality LLP has been built with a clear focus on delivering consistent performance and meaningful guest experiences. Whether working with investors, travel partners, or corporate clients, our approach is centred on creating value through operational excellence, strong brand credibility, and long-term, sustainable growth,” said Abhijit Dey.

The company is incorporating digital tools such as AI-based upselling and guest personalisation platforms, including the NORTH STAR Model, to improve revenue generation and streamline the guest journey from pre-arrival to checkout. It is also aligning with sustainability benchmarks, with premium assets targeting LEED Platinum certification and long-term Net Zero Carbon objectives under its ‘Responsible Luxury’ framework.

The company is also focusing on experience-led differentiation through curated dining, cultural, and lifestyle offerings, aimed at strengthening positioning among experience-driven travellers. Workforce development remains a priority, with structured training and continuous learning initiatives designed to build a performance-oriented and inclusive workforce.

With an expanding presence across key Indian markets, Starline Hospitality is targeting growth across high-demand corridors. Its expansion strategy is centred on asset performance, long-term owner partnerships, and scalable value creation, with the objective of building a larger portfolio and establishing itself as a significant hotel operating platform in India.
