33&BREW, positioned as India’s first vinyl microbrewery, has opened at Prestige Techno Star, Brookfield, Bengaluru. The concept brings together craft beer, vinyl records, and a global food menu under one roof. Created by the team behind Record Room—now a part of Optimistic Capital—this new venture redefines their earlier model by introducing an on-site brewery and an expanded culinary experience.
At the heart of 33&BREW is its rotating craft beer program led by Master Brewer Stephen Nelsen, a third-generation brewer with over 30 years of international brewing expertise. Known for combining traditional methods with modern flavours, Nelsen’s small-batch brews range from crisp ales and IPAs to strong seasonal variants.
“33&Brew isn’t just a microbrewery—it’s a celebration of craft, culture, and connection. We’ve blended our love for vinyl and small-batch brewing to create a space where every pint tells a story and every track sets the mood. We’re proud to bring India its first Vinyl Microbrewery, and we can’t wait to welcome guests into the rhythm of our world,” said a representative of Optimistic Capital.
The space also features a vinyl collection of over 200 records, covering rock, funk, soul, hip-hop, and global genres. Visitors can explore and listen to curated selections that celebrate analog sound.
Chef Sabyasachi Gorai leads the kitchen with a globally inspired menu rooted in Indian influences. Offerings include dishes such as Spicy Mushroom Mille-Feuille, Corn Kataifi Pies, Pulled Chicken Carnitas, and Goan Prawn Arancini. Vegetarian options like Roast Jackfruit Fondue and Red Bean & Chickpea Pâté add range to the menu, complemented by handmade pastas, risottos, and flatbreads. Desserts include Basque Cheesecake, Rose Kunafe Tarts, and Tiramisù à la Naples.
The cocktail list draws inspiration from the vinyl era and incorporates brewing elements into mixology. Signatures include the Beerhead Sour with bourbon, hops, and honey; 4 AM Cut! with tequila and lager; and The Echo Chamber featuring bourbon, hazelnut, espresso, and stout crème.
Designed by Studio Taan, the interiors combine industrial design with retro elements—featuring exposed brick, brass, and turntables. The visual palette of deep reds and matte black reflects the aesthetic of aged vinyl.
33&BREW aims to establish itself as a distinctive concept that merges beer, music, and design into a single experiential format, positioning itself as a new benchmark in India’s evolving brewpub landscape.
