1.5 Degree, has entered the Delhi F&B market with the launch of two outlets at N Block Market and Hauz Khas. The brand, founded by brothers Vedansh (23) and Anagh (21), is positioning itself in the growing plant-based consumption segment, targeting urban consumers seeking dairy alternatives.
The launch coincides with a funding milestone for the company. 35North Ventures has committed a one million USD investment in the startup, indicating investor interest in the alternative dairy and vegan product category in India.
The founders built the brand based on their personal experience with lactose intolerance. Their focus has been on developing dairy-free products without compromising on taste, addressing a gap they identified in the market. The product portfolio is positioned around being heart-friendly, gut-friendly, and fully vegan.
The company’s backend operations include a manufacturing and R&D facility at NIFTEM in Kundli. In addition, BITS Pilani has been part of the founders’ academic journey, with co-founder Anagh currently completing his graduation. Product development has involved collaboration with chefs, dairy technologists, nutritionists, and food content creators to refine taste and texture.
Both outlets are designed to run from 8:00 AM to 1:00 AM, targeting multiple consumption windows across the day. The morning menu includes oat milk-based coffee, smoothies with chia seeds, frozen soy yogurt, and waffles made without palm oil. The late-night offering shifts toward sugar-free desserts such as kulfis, gelatos, gelato cakes, sorbets, and popsicles.
The brand is also incorporating sustainability measures into its store operations. Both outlets use paper-based disposables and recyclable materials as part of an effort to reduce environmental impact. The name 1.5 Degree references the global climate target of limiting temperature rise.
Anagh Goyal, Co-Founder, 1.5 Degree, said, “Securing the commitment from 35North Ventures allows us to take our research-backed products to a much wider audience. Whether you’re stopping by for a morning oat-milk smoothie or a sugar-free kulfi at midnight, you're getting a product manufactured at our own manufacturing facility at NIFTEM rigors, and served with a total commitment to sustainability.”
