PizzaExpress Opens 38th India Restaurant at World St. in Aerocity

PizzaExpress has opened a new restaurant at World St. at 5 Worldmark, Aerocity, New Delhi, taking its India network to 38 outlets. The launch adds the UK casual dining brand to one of Delhi’s key commercial and hospitality districts, with the location targeting office workers, travellers, families and local diners.

The new outlet offers PizzaExpress’ core menu alongside seasonal dishes, including Dough Balls, pizzas for two starting at INR 495, salads, appetisers, pastas, desserts and its Romana range of larger, thinner and crispier pizzas. The menu also includes the Piccolo range for children, Leggera options, Soho Bowls, Tiramisu and Baked Vanilla Cheesecake.

Ramit Bharti Mittal, Founder & Director of Gourmet Investments Hospitality Group (GIHG), said, “5 Worldmark at Aerocity is one of Delhi’s most exciting and relaxed dining space, bringing together travellers, young professionals and consumers who actively seek quality dining experiences. PizzaExpress fits naturally into this environment because the brand has always stood for great food served in a relaxed, welcoming setting. With this restaurant, we are looking forward to bringing the PizzaExpress experience closer to a wider audience that appreciates good ingredients, craftsmanship and social dining.”

Rohan Pewekar, CEO, Gourmet Investments Hospitality Group (GIHG), said the opening is part of the company’s expansion strategy in India. “The launch of our 38th PizzaExpress restaurant in India is in line with our steady growth and long-term commitment in India. 5 Worldmark at Aerocity continues to evolve as a premium lifestyle and food destination, making it an important location for us strategically. We see strong demand from consumers today for dining spaces that combine consistency, comfort and quality, and PizzaExpress continues to resonate strongly with this audience across cities.”

SK Sayal, MD & CEO, Bharti Real Estate, said, “We're delighted to welcome PizzaExpress to World St. at 5 Worldmark, Aerocity. Good food has a unique way of bringing people together, and that's exactly the kind of experience we want to create at World St. Whether it's a quick lunch, an evening with friends or a relaxed family outing, our endeavour is to offer a diverse culinary experience for every occasion. As the Social Spine of 5 Worldmark, World St. continues to evolve as a vibrant destination where business, hospitality and lifestyle come together, and this addition further strengthens that vision.”

The restaurant retains PizzaExpress’ open-kitchen format, allowing customers to see pizzas being prepared and baked by pizzaiolos. The menu continues to use the brand’s tomato passata, made with San Marzano tomatoes sourced from Parma, Italy, while its pizza range includes the Calabrese, developed with Michelin-starred chef Francesco Mazzei.

PizzaExpress was founded on London’s Wardour Street in 1965 and currently operates over 330 restaurants in the UK, with a presence across 13 countries. In India, its 38 restaurants are spread across markets including Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Pune, Punjab, Lucknow and Hyderabad.
