Oxymorons Launches Fussy Ccat Lunch Concept in Hyderabad

Oxymorons, the 32-seater cocktail bar located in a 130-year-old heritage building in Hyderabad, has expanded its food and beverage offering with the launch of Fussy Ccat, a reservation-only lunch concept that operates from the same venue during daytime hours.

The new concept introduces a rotating "edit" format, allowing the team to regularly change cuisines and dining experiences. The first edition focuses on ramen, featuring a menu built around different broths, toppings and flavour profiles.

According to the founders, the concept takes its name from a cat frequently seen around the Country Club compound where Oxymorons is located. The cat's unpredictable eating habits inspired the idea of creating a dining concept centred around changing tastes and culinary exploration.

Honey Jain Guha, Co-founder of Oxymorons, said, "Oxymorons has always been driven by curiosity, whether it's behind the bar or in the experiences we create. Fussy Ccat extends that philosophy into food. We did not want to build a restaurant around a specific cuisine; we wanted to build one around discovery. The edit format gives us the freedom to keep exploring what excites us while giving guests something new to look forward to every time they visit."

Rehan Guha, Founder, Oxymorons, added, "The launch edit celebrates ramen, not because Fussy Ccat is a ramen restaurant, but because it is the cuisine the team is currently most excited to explore. Future edits will continue to shift across cuisines, formats and flavours, with each one offering a fresh perspective and a new dining experience."

The venue undergoes a daily transformation to distinguish the lunch concept from the evening cocktail bar. During lunch hours, the space is redesigned with different décor, lighting and tableware before transitioning back into Oxymorons at 5 pm.

The opening ramen edit includes dishes such as Tonkotsu Ramen, Shoyu Chicken Ramen, Thecha Paitan Ramen and Charred Nasu Ramen. The menu also features gyozas, cabbage and pork rolls, silken tofu dishes, salads and rotating desserts created specifically for the limited-period concept. With Fussy Ccat, Oxymorons is exploring a dual-format model that combines daytime dining and evening cocktail experiences within the same hospitality space.
