Momoka, a Japanese kissaten-inspired café founded by Chef Brainard Colaco, bringing together Japanese café culture, Yoshoku cuisine, specialty beverages and desserts under one roof.
Located on Prabhat Road, Momoka draws inspiration from Japan's traditional neighbourhood cafés, known as Kissatens, while focusing on Yoshoku cuisine, which combines Western cooking techniques with Japanese ingredients and flavours.
The menu features handcrafted Sandos prepared with the café's in-house shokupan (Japanese milk bread), alongside Udon Bowls, Okonomiyaki, Sarada and the restaurant's signature Risoni, which replaces traditional Japanese rice with rice-shaped pasta. The offering also includes Tokyo Toasties, Croissants, Cro-Burgs and desserts such as Shibuya Honey Toast, Mochi Brownie & Matcha Fudge Brownie.
The beverage programme includes ceremonial-grade Matcha sourced from Uji, along with drinks prepared using Hojicha, Neri Goma (black sesame) and Ube (purple yam). Guests can also choose from beverages including Peach Yakult, Iced Coffee Jelly Latte, Sencha Tea, Coconut Foam Cold Brew and Sparkling Yuzu Matcha Soda. Momoka offers a retail selection featuring artisanal cookies, Shibuya Kurutons, Shiroi Koibito Cookies and Nama Chocolates.
Chef Brainard Colaco said, "Momoka has always been about sharing a more everyday side of Japan ,the warmth of a modern kissaten, comforting food and desserts, and flavours that feel familiar yet exciting. With our new flagship on Prabhat Road, we wanted to create a space where guests can experience Japan through soulful food, a dessert bar like no other and thoughtfully crafted beverages."
