IHCL Expands Tamil Nadu Presence with New 176-Key Gateway Hotel in Trichy

Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has announced the signing of a 176-key Gateway hotel in Tiruchirappalli (Trichy), Tamil Nadu, further expanding its presence in the state. The project will be developed as a greenfield hotel.

Located on the Grand Southern Trunk Road, the property will overlook the Kaveri River and major religious landmarks including the Rockfort Temple, Sri Ranganatha Swamy Temple at Srirangam, and Jambukeswara Temple at Thiruvanaikaval.

The hotel will feature an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant and a bar. Leisure facilities will include a swimming pool, gym, health club and spa. Targeting both business and social events, the property will offer more than 5,000 sq. ft. of banquet space, meeting rooms, pre-function areas and approximately one acre of outdoor lawns for weddings, celebrations and corporate gatherings.

Tiruchirappalli is one of Tamil Nadu's major cultural and religious destinations, attracting visitors through its historic temples and heritage landmarks.

With this signing, IHCL's portfolio in Tamil Nadu will increase to 33 hotels, including 14 under development, reinforcing the company's continued focus on expanding across key leisure, pilgrimage and business destinations in the state.
