Leisure Hotels Group Launches Viraam Spa at Five Uttarakhand Properties

Leisure Hotels Group (LHG) has launched Viraam Spa, a new wellness brand that will be rolled out across its resort portfolio, starting with five properties in Uttarakhand.

The brand is built around three principles — Pause, Restore and Reconnect — and will offer personalised wellness programmes rather than standardised spa treatments. Each guest experience will begin with an individual consultation covering lifestyle, wellness goals and specific concerns before therapists recommend treatments.

Viraam’s treatment menu will include massage therapies, aromatherapy, deep tissue and hot stone treatments, facials, body scrubs and wraps, couple experiences and targeted wellness rituals. The programme draws from Indian Ayurveda as well as Western, Mediterranean and Chinese wellness practices.

The spa’s product range will use essential oils, Himalayan botanicals, fruit and floral extracts and natural butters, with formulations incorporating ingredients associated with Uttarakhand.

The first phase of the rollout will cover The Naini Retreat overlooking Naini Lake, Aloha On The Ganges in Rishikesh, The Riverview Retreat in Corbett, Ganga Lahari near Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar and Auradoon in Dehradun. The facilities will be available to both resident and non-resident guests.

Sanjay Sood, COO, Leisure Hotels Group, said, "Hospitality today is no longer just about where people stay; it's about how they feel when they leave. With Viraam, we've created a wellness philosophy that encourages guests to slow down, reconnect with themselves and experience every destination more mindfully. It is a natural extension of Leisure Hotels Group's approach to experiential hospitality, where nature, culture and wellbeing come together to create journeys that stay with our guests long after they return home.”

The launch gives LHG a dedicated wellness proposition across its properties while allowing the group to integrate spa and wellness services with its destination-focused resort operations. The company plans to extend Viraam to additional properties in subsequent phases.
