Dodicci Launches in Delhi With Italian Cuisine and European Influences

New Delhi’s hospitality market has added a new European dining destination with the opening of Dodicci at The Ashoka Hotel in Chanakyapuri. The restaurant follows an Italian-led approach to European cuisine, combining Italian and French influences with elements from the Middle East, Southeast Asia and other European food traditions.

The concept, built around the idea of “La Casa Europa”, brings together a restaurant, cocktail programme, music and hospitality within a single format. Its name, Dodicci, means twelve in Italian and is reflected in a cocktail menu featuring 12 signature drinks, each representing one of the concept’s fictional residents.

The food menu includes hand-rolled pastas and pizzas alongside dishes such as Poulet Rôti with potatoes, Spanish croquettes, Brazilian tapioca parmesan and lemon meringue tart. The offering is positioned around European techniques while incorporating influences from outside the region.

The culinary programme is led by Chef Gurdev, a Le Cordon Bleu, Paris graduate who has worked at the two-Michelin-starred Le Taillevent and with Chef Inaki Aizpitarte of Le Chateaubriand. She has also worked across Paris and Saint-Tropez and spent time in Veneto. In Delhi, she is known for & Daughters…, an invitation-only chef’s table that she has operated from her South Delhi home for over half a decade.

Dodicci’s design follows the La Casa Europa concept, using earthy tones, clean lines, handwritten details and residential-style elements. The restaurant is designed around a less formal dining format, with music and lighting forming part of the overall experience.

The launch adds another European-focused restaurant to the city’s premium dining market, while using a broader regional approach instead of limiting the menu to a single European cuisine.
