Dakshinayan, the South Indian restaurant brand founded by Beena and Hemul Gandhi, has opened a new outlet at Oberoi Garden City in Goregaon, expanding its presence in Mumbai. The launch adds to the brand’s network across Mumbai, Thane and Ahmedabad, where it has built a customer base over more than two decades.
The new restaurant serves a menu of South Indian dishes, including Thatte Idli, Molgapodi Idli, Rasam Vada, Rava Masala Dosai, Ven Pongal, Puliyodharai and Bisibelle Hulianna. The outlet also introduces an updated restaurant design, with brick-clad walls, wooden detailing, pendant lighting, Tanjore artwork and Kolam-inspired motifs.
The Goregaon opening comes as the extended Gandhi family takes a more active role in the business. Dhruman Jayant Gandhi, Promoter, is working on strengthening the systems and processes required to support growth, while Vir and Darshan Gandhi are also involved in the next phase of the family-run brand.

The new outlet extends Dakshinayan’s presence into Goregaon East, adding another location to its existing restaurant network and serving both everyday dining and family occasions.
