Bountyful Brings the Comfort of India’s Regional Kitchens to Indiranagar
Bountyful Brings the Comfort of India’s Regional Kitchens to Indiranagar

Bountyful has opened its doors in Indiranagar, Bengaluru, introducing a dining destination dedicated to India’s lesser-known regional cuisines and the everyday food traditions that rarely find a place on restaurant menus.

The concept brings together thoughtfully curated vegetarian dishes, traditional beverages and Indian desserts in a warm, contemporary setting designed to evoke the comfort and familiarity of home-cooked food.

Built around the idea of bringing diverse regional food traditions under one roof, Bountyful explores the culinary heritage of India’s towns, hills and smaller communities. Its menu spans 18–20 regional cuisines, focusing on familiar ingredients, lesser-known dishes and traditional cooking techniques that reflect the diversity of Indian food beyond mainstream restaurant offerings.

“Bountyful is built on memories of the comforting hills, towns and regions across India. It’s a true celebration of regional food, familiar ingredients and unfamiliar dishes. The name was a deliberate choice, reflecting the plentiful and abundant nature of the restaurant, with a quirky touch to its environment. We wanted to create a dining experience that feels contemporary while remaining as comforting and inviting as the food itself,” said Pallavii Gupta, Founder, Bountyful.

Moving beyond the familiar repertoire of dals, tikkas and kormas, the restaurant explores dishes rooted in home kitchens, hill villages and small-town food cultures. The emphasis is on humble, wholesome meals that are an everyday part of regional food traditions rather than dishes reserved for special occasions.

The menu features a range of regional preparations, including Hari Moong Dal, Bihari Sattu, Malai Gatta, Bhapa Paneer and Khatte Nadru. The selection also includes comforting soups such as Himalayan Thukpa and Tomato Tulsi Rasa, alongside refreshing options such as the Green Moong Raw Mango Salad. Together, these dishes showcase varied ingredients, flavours and cooking traditions from across the country.

The beverage menu complements the food with tangy, spiced and zero-proof drinks drawing on regional ingredients and traditional flavour combinations. Options featuring kokum, jeera, coriander and chilli bring a refreshing contrast to the menu, while sweeter selections inspired by paan, rose and thandai offer familiar Indian flavours to accompany or conclude the meal.

Desserts continue the restaurant’s exploration of regional tastes with offerings such as Kesar Bhapa Doi, a Bengali classic, Rose Milk Cake and Gud Til Chocolate Mousse. The selection combines traditional Indian ingredients and nostalgic flavours with contemporary presentation.

Designed to offer a relaxed and welcoming dining experience, Bountyful accommodates 40 guests. The restaurant is open from 12 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 11 pm, Tuesday through Sunday, and remains closed on Mondays.

Through its focus on regional vegetarian cuisine, traditional beverages and familiar desserts, Bountyful aims to bring greater attention to the everyday food cultures that shape India’s culinary identity, offering diners an opportunity to discover flavours that are often overlooked.
