Blue Tokai Opens Its First Café in Dubai at BurJuman Mall

Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters has opened its first café in the UAE at BurJuman Mall in Dubai, marking a significant step in the specialty coffee brand's international expansion strategy. The launch introduces Indian specialty coffee to one of the region's most established café markets and signals the company's plans for further growth across the GCC.

Founded in 2013, Blue Tokai has built its business around specialty coffee sourced from Indian coffee-growing regions, with a focus on quality, transparency and traceability. The company currently operates more than 250 cafés and three roasteries across India and works with over 80 local coffee farms. It also has an international presence in Tokyo, Japan.

The Dubai outlet has been designed around the brand's farm-to-cup philosophy and offers a selection of single-estate coffees sourced from across India, seasonal offerings and signature blends. The menu also includes freshly prepared food, pastries and baked goods in a contemporary café setting.

Shivam Shahi, Co-Founder and COO, Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters, said, "India has a remarkable coffee heritage, yet its potential as a specialty coffee origin is only now gaining global recognition. Over the last 13 years, Blue Tokai has been committed to strengthening the connection between coffee producers and consumers, while creating spaces where people can discover the craft, stories and diversity behind every cup. Entering the UAE marks an important milestone in our journey. The vibrant café culture, diverse community and appreciation for thoughtfully crafted experiences make it an ideal gateway as we build meaningful connections with customers across the region."

Vishwaroop Narain, Executive Chairman, Ambrosia Gulf, added, "Dubai continues to attract brands that bring distinctive stories, innovation and new experiences to consumers. Blue Tokai’s strong heritage and commitment to craftsmanship make it well positioned for this market. Through our partnership, we look forward to supporting the brand’s growth journey and creating opportunities for more consumers to discover the depth and diversity of Indian coffee."

The company has also confirmed plans to open a second UAE outlet as it expands its footprint across the GCC region.
