Aspect Hospitality has expanded its hospitality portfolio with the launch of The Mahjong Club, a café and social gaming concept that opened on 26 August 2026 in Khar, Mumbai, above Radio Bar.
The venue combines a café format with dedicated Mahjong facilities, positioning the board game as the central activity while offering food, beverages and spaces for social gatherings. The concept is aimed at both experienced Mahjong players and first-time participants, with lessons, guided play, open games, tournaments and community events planned as part of the offering.
The Mahjong Club is built around the use of Mahjong as a social activity, with four-player tables forming the core of the venue. The hospitality model extends beyond gaming, with the property designed to accommodate casual visits, group bookings, private games and social occasions.
Hitesh Keswani, Managing Director & CEO, Aspect Hospitality, said, “At Aspect Hospitality, our vision is to build brands with longevity - concepts that understand the culture around them, build genuine communities and remain relevant as they grow. I believe The Mahjong Club has the potential to become one of those brands: distinctly born here, but with an idea that can travel far beyond.”
Food and beverages form a key part of the concept, with a Pan-Asian-inspired menu designed around shared dining. The menu includes Edamame Truffle Dim Sum, Asparagus Avocado Uramaki, Ma La Chilli Prawns, Buddha Bowls and Salmon Crudo Bowls. Dessert options include Matcha & White Chocolate Cookie and Dark Chocolate Date Truffles.
The beverage menu includes espresso and tea alongside signature drinks such as East Wind Iced Tea, Golden Tile Latte, Jade Matcha Cloud and Four Winds Coffee Tonic. The club will operate daily from 9 AM - 12 AM, allowing the format to cater to different consumption occasions across the day, including coffee visits, lunch, gaming sessions and evening gatherings. The venue will offer both reserved and pre-booked tables, casual drop-ins, beginner lessons, tournaments and community events. Private tables and spaces will also be available for celebrations, group games and smaller gatherings.
With The Mahjong Club, Aspect Hospitality is adding a gaming-led format to Mumbai’s café and social dining market, combining a dedicated recreational activity with food and beverage operations. The company’s approach places community-building and repeat visits at the centre of the concept rather than positioning it solely as a conventional café or restaurant.
