ABD Maestro Launches AODH, WOODBURNS and YELLO Whiskies in Telangana

ABD Maestro Private Limited, the super-premium spirits arm of Allied Blenders & Distillers, has entered the Telangana market with the launch of three whisky brands—AODH Irish Whiskey, WOODBURNS Contemporary Indian Whisky and YELLO Designer Whisky.

The three labels are now available at retail outlets across Hyderabad and will also be offered at premium bars and restaurants in the city. The launch marks the company's formal entry into Telangana as it continues to expand its premium spirits portfolio across India. AODH, a triple-distilled Irish whiskey, is priced at Rs 3,470 for a 750 ml bottle. WOODBURNS Contemporary Indian Whisky is available at Rs 2,500, while YELLO Designer Whisky, a blend of Scotch and Indian malts, is priced at Rs 2,630.

WOODBURNS recently received the Revelation Blended Whisky Award and Grand Gold at the 27th Spirit Selection by Concours Mondial de Bruxelles in 2025, strengthening its credentials within the premium whisky segment. ABD Maestro is co-founded by Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh and operates as a subsidiary of Allied Blenders & Distillers, which the company describes as India's largest domestic spirits company by sales volume.

Managing Director Bikram Basu said the state's consumers are increasingly prioritising quality over volume. He highlighted Telangana's growing pub and restaurant culture and a younger consumer base that is more receptive to premium and international-style spirits.

The company also revealed plans to expand its presence beyond Hyderabad. Cities including Warangal, Karimnagar and Nizamabad have been identified as potential markets for its super-premium portfolio.

The Telangana launch reflects the continued growth of India's premium alcoholic beverage segment, with brands increasingly targeting emerging consumer demand for high-end spirits across metropolitan and Tier-II markets.
