Chef Vicky Ratnani is known for a culinary style that blends local produce with European
techniques and global influences gathered through extensive travel. Having circumnavigated
the globe seven times during his years at sea, he has developed a diverse repertoire of
cuisines and a unique perspective on food.
His distinguished career includes a landmark achievement with Cunard, where he became the
first Indian Executive Chef to helm the iconic ocean liners Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria.
A celebrated television personality, author, and culinary storyteller, Ratnani has appeared
in over 500 television episodes. He is the author of the bestselling book based on his
popular TV series Vicky Goes Veg and recently launched Urban Desi. He also produces Vicky
The Gastranaut, a travel and food series filmed across destinations including Peru,
Australia, and Thailand.
Over the years, he has received several industry accolades, including Chef of the Year
(2015), Culinary Icon of the Year (2022) by Travel + Leisure India, Most Stylish Chef of the
