Udai Pinnali is the CEO of Aditya Birla New Age Hospitality (ABNAH), the hospitality arm of the Aditya Birla Group. ABNAH is home to iconic restaurant brands — Hakkasan, Yauatcha, Nara Thai, CinCin, Ode, Waarsa and Flint - as well as Jolie's, ABG's exclusive members' club at Worli, Mumbai.
Starting out from Mumbai, the restaurant brands are poised to expand to other cities with recent openings in Delhi NCR and planned foray into Bangalore and Hyderabad as well later in this year. More recently, ABNAH ventured into the café segment with the launch of their progressive Indian brand in good co.
Udai completed his management education from IIM Bangalore and joined ABG in 2008 through the Aditya Birla Group Leadership Program (ABGLP). His 17+ year journey within the Group is anything but linear — after several varied roles spanning 9 years at Idea Cellular, he later served as Executive Assistant to the Group Chairman, Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla. He was instrumental in the ground up building of new ventures like the BITS School of Management and Birla Opus Paints, before taking charge of ABNAH – ABG’s F&B Hospitality business. He is a two-time recipient of the prestigious Chairman's Individual Award at ABG.
