his leadership, award-winning restaurants Avatara and Carnival by Tresind have created a
remarkable impact in less than a year of their launch. At the heart of it all, Chef Sarfaraz
is the man behind Tresind Mumbai, where his passion and vision are deeply woven into every
detail of the dining experience.
A culinary artist at his core, Chef Sarfaraz is dedicated to crafting innovative and
memorable gastronomic journeys. With a profound love for flavors, techniques, and

From curating playful, experimental dishes at Carnival to reimagining soulful vegetarian
classics at Avatara, Chef Sarfaraz continues to push creative boundaries. Born in Shimla and
trained at the Institute of Hotel Management, Lucknow, he honed his skills in five-star
hotel kitchens and then joined the team at Tresind Dubai and later Tresind Kuwait. Returning
to India, he took charge of Tresind Mumbai—where his creativity, leadership, and commitment
