Salil Fadnis began his hospitality journey in 1991 with Oberoi Hotels as a Kitchen Executive
Trainee and went on to hold several key roles at The Oberoi, Mumbai. His pursuit of
excellence led him to the Marriott Group, where he became a pre-opening specialist,
successfully launching hotels across India and overseas.
Over the years, Salil has been invited to showcase his culinary expertise on international
platforms including the QE2 Luxury Cruise Liner, MV Astoria, and the legendary Hotel
Montreux Palace.
A stalwart with over 29 years of experience, Salil’s journey with Hotel Sahara Star has been
defined by innovation, leadership, and a deep passion for hospitality. As Executive Chef, he
was instrumental in conceptualizing and launching nine award-winning F&B outlets at the
hotel. His culinary vision and operational excellence earned him recognition on various
industry platforms.
