Specializing in luxury hotels and resorts, Rajesh Namby has taken the reins as General
Manager of Raffles Udaipur. He has rich experience spanning over two decades, during which
he has been associated with renowned hotel chains like The Leela, Hyatt, Hilton, and Taj
Group. His last assignment was as the General Manager of The Lodhi New Delhi.
During his tenure at The Lodhi New Delhi, he ensured that the hotel ran in profits even
during the difficult times of pandemic by targeting an influx of domestic travelers. Rajesh
played a pivotal role in the launch of “Stay Safe Assurance” in a successful manner, which
gave boost to the demand and thereby an increase in the room rates. The hotel was conferred
with the Best Luxury Hotel in India title by Travel+Leisure India’s Best Awards 2021, rated
the No. 4 Hotel in India by Condé Nast Traveler US Readers’ Choice Awards 2021, among its
many other accolades.
Rajesh spent eventful 17 years of association with The Leela Group. He was an integral part
of their culinary operations and played an instrumental role in transforming their F&B and
pioneering new levels of dining experiences. At The Leela Palace, New Delhi, he spearheaded
the launch of one of the city’s most comprehensive and sought-after culinary portfolios like
Le Cirque and Megu. Under his leadership, The Leela Palace, Udaipur saw new developments and
consecutively won several accolades, including being the No. 1 Hotel in the Country on
TripAdvisor, and the prestigious title of the ‘World’s Best Hotel’ and ‘Asia’s Best Resort’
by Travel+Leisure in 2019.
