Pradyumnā Nag leads Strategy, Investment Banking, and M&A at Prequate Advisory, a firm he co-founded in 2010.
A Chartered Accountant with a postgraduate degree in International Business Strategy, Nag brings over 17 years of hands-on experience in business transformation, strategic finance, and capital advisory.
Over the years, he has worked with more than 200 business models, advised on 20+ funding rounds, and led 150+ valuations. His advisory spans sectors as diverse as gaming and telecom infrastructure, and he’s held interim CFO and CSO roles for listed companies in India and the US.
At the heart of his work is a simple belief: strategy should be actionable, and capital should be a catalyst, not a crutch. Nag started his career at KPMG and has since consulted with companies like Infosys, Mindteck, Levi’s, Ariba, Philips, and Akshaya Patra. At Schneider Electric, he was part of the APAC merger team. He also runs RedPaint, a four-year-old accelerator that has worked with over 30 early-stage startups on everything from ideation to fundraising.
One of Nag’s key contributions is building an “operator-first” growth model—helping businesses craft capital strategies that work in the real world. He has collaborated with large private equity firms to develop scalable operating frameworks for their portfolio companies. He’s authored technical papers for the Valuation Standards Board, co-authored the Indian Education Report 2019, and contributed to various international publications. A frequent speaker at forums like The Indonesia Economic Forum and Entrepreneur Magazine Summit, he also lectures on valuations, M&A, and investment banking for ICAI.
