With over 22 years in the hospitality industry, Ashay Desai brings deep expertise in event
planning, large-scale catering operations, and culinary innovation. A graduate of the
Institute of Hotel Management, Mumbai, he began his career as a chef and has since risen to
a leadership role, heading Catering Collective, the catering and venue vertical of K
Hospitality Corp.
Ashay has led catering for some of India’s most notable celebrations, from being the
exclusive F&B partner for Jeet Adani and Diva Shah across their pre-wedding and wedding
functions to the sangeets of Adar Jain & Alekha Advani, Anuv Jain & Hridi Narang in Mumbai
and New Delhi respectively. He has also steered large-scale sports and corporate
hospitality, delivering curated culinary experiences for the Indian Premier League for
Mumbai Indians & Delhi Capitals, Indian Soccer League, Pro Kabaddi League and major
corporate gatherings.
Under his leadership, Ashay has guided teams through an impressive spectrum of events - from
intimate gatherings to large-scale celebrations, serving millions of guests with consistency
and care. Known for his forward-thinking approach, he has been instrumental in introducing
interactive dining experiences that engage guests through creativity, craft, and connection.
