Abhishek Sachdev is the General Manager of Courtyard by Marriott Mumbai International Airport, bringing with him close to two decades of diverse hospitality experience spanning hotel operations, pre-openings, strategic growth and brand expansion across South Asia.
A hospitality professional with a strong operational and leadership background, Abhishek began his career with ITC Hotels as a Management Trainee and was part of the pre-opening team at ITC Gardenia, Bengaluru.
He later pursued an MBA in Hospitality Administration from École Hôtelière de Lausanne, Switzerland, before expanding his professional exposure into global fundraising and strategic projects with the Indian Head Injury Foundation (IHIF).
Returning to hospitality operations, he held key leadership roles with Taj Hotels, including heading Rooms at Taj Bekal Resort & Spa and leading Operations at Taj Fisherman’s Cove, Chennai.
Abhishek joined Marriott International in 2019 as Hotel Manager at Fairfield by Marriott Kolkata, where he played an instrumental role in the successful launch of the property. In 2022, he was elevated to Director of Hotel Openings, South Asia, overseeing pre-opening activities for 35 hotel openings and conversions across the region, further strengthening Marriott’s footprint in South Asia.
