Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is set to bring its European lifestyle brand Vienna House to India with the signing of the 100-key Vienna House Easy Vrindavan, scheduled to open in 2029. The project is being developed by entrepreneur Sachin Kumar, owner and operator of Kumar Beverages Industries, in partnership with Nardev Chaudhary.
The planned four-star hotel will expand Wyndham’s presence in India’s growing branded hospitality market while targeting demand in Vrindavan, which has evolved beyond its traditional pilgrimage base to attract families and travellers interested in cultural and spiritual tourism.
Vienna House Easy Vrindavan will feature 100 rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, a rooftop infinity pool with a poolside terrace, banquet facilities and a vegetarian dining offering influenced by local food traditions. The property is planned near Banke Bihari Temple, Prem Mandir and ISKCON Vrindavan, with connectivity to Mathura Junction as well as Agra and Delhi.
The project combines Vienna House Easy’s European-inspired design approach with destination-specific elements. The brand is positioned around relaxed lifestyle hospitality, with its properties adapting their design and guest experience to the local market.
“Indian travellers are increasingly choosing hotels for how they make them feel, not simply where they allow them to stay. Across Europe, Vienna House has built its reputation on creating welcoming, design-led experiences that feel connected to the communities around them. As destinations such as Vrindavan attract a broader mix of travellers seeking culture, spirituality and discovery, we see a clear opportunity to introduce a brand that combines international hospitality standards with a genuine sense of place. Together with Mr. Sachin Kumar and Mr. Nardev Chaudhary, we are excited to bring that experience to India for the first time,” said Rahool Macarius, Market Managing Director, Eurasia, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
The signing comes as Vrindavan's hospitality market expands alongside rising visitor numbers and demand for organised accommodation. The project is also aimed at travellers looking for branded hotels while visiting the city's major religious and cultural sites.
“Vrindavan is undergoing a remarkable transformation, attracting not only pilgrims but also families and travellers seeking richer cultural experiences. Together with Wyndham, we are creating a hotel that brings the warmth, character and design ethos of Vienna House Easy to India while remaining rooted in the traditions and identity of Vrindavan. We believe guests will value a hospitality experience that combines international quality, thoughtful design and an authentic connection to destination,” said Sachin Kumar, Partner, Vienna House Easy Vrindavan.
The hotel will be part of Wyndham’s wider Vienna House portfolio and will be supported by the company's distribution network and Wyndham Rewards membership base of more than 126 million enrolled members worldwide. The Vrindavan signing marks the brand's planned entry into the Indian market and adds another international lifestyle hospitality concept to the country's expanding hotel pipeline.
