Wyndham Adds 40-Plus Independent Luxury Hotels to Registry Collection Through HotelREZ Partnership

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has entered a strategic partnership with HotelREZ Hotels & Resorts to expand its Registry Collection Hotels portfolio, with more than 40 properties from HotelREZ’s Elegant Hotels of the World collection expected to join the brand by early next year. Additional hotels may be added as the partnership develops.

The agreement will bring independent luxury hotels, many of them boutique properties with an average inventory of 20 to 50 rooms, into Wyndham’s sales, marketing and distribution network. The participating hotels will retain their membership in Elegant Hotels of the World while gaining access to Wyndham Rewards, which has more than 129 million enrolled members.

The partnership is designed to connect independent hotel owners with Wyndham’s global distribution network, loyalty programme and commercial technology. It will also give Wyndham Rewards members more options to earn and redeem points at independent luxury properties across international destinations.

Registry Collection Hotels currently includes more than 30 properties across nine countries. Its portfolio includes Bristol Panama in Panama City, Hodges Bay Resort & Spa in Antigua and Balfour Miami Beach in Miami.

Scott Strickland, Chief Commercial Officer, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, said, “As Wyndham grows, so do the aspirations of our Wyndham Rewards members. Whether it’s a once-in-a-lifetime vacation, a destination wedding, or a milestone celebration, members want their points to take them to places that feel as special as the moments they’re celebrating. By Partnering with HotelREZ Hotels & Resorts, we’re expanding those offerings, opening the doors to a broader array of exceptional luxury hotels and resorts in highly coveted destinations around the world.”

The first group of participating properties includes Rosselli AX Privilege in Valletta, Malta; The TownHouse Mykonos in Greece; Galgorm Resort near Belfast, Northern Ireland; TreeHouse Villas Koh Yao in Thailand; Cinco Quintas Hotel Boutique in Cartagena, Colombia; and Roe Valley Resort in Northern Ireland. These properties are available through Wyndham’s booking platform.

The partnership also introduces a separate arrangement for hotels associated with HotelREZ’s Best Loved Hotels collection, which represents upscale independent properties. Under this model, participating hotels will receive selective access to Wyndham’s technology platform, third-party distribution network and AI-enabled tools, including Wyndham Connect and Wyndham AI Concierge, formerly Wyndham Connect PLUS. The arrangement is scheduled to launch later this year.

Mark Lewis, Group CEO, HotelREZ Hotels & Resorts, said, “At its heart, our partnership with Wyndham is about unlocking commercial opportunities for our member hotels. For more than two decades, we’ve worked hard to earn the trust of independent hoteliers around the world and today, we’re building on those relationships by partnering with one of the world’s largest, most trusted hotel ecosystems—all backed by Wyndham’s award-winning, rapidly-growing loyalty program.”

The collaboration adds to Wyndham’s efforts to extend its distribution and technology services to independent hotel owners. The company operates on a cloud-based technology platform and is expanding its booking integrations with AI platforms, including Claude, ChatGPT and Google Gemini.

The agreement creates another route for its independent hotel network to access global sales and distribution infrastructure while retaining their individual identities. The two companies plan to expand the partnership as more properties meet brand requirements and complete the onboarding process.
