Church Street SOCIAL, the first outlet of the SOCIAL brand, has reopened in Bengaluru following a complete renovation. The redevelopment updates the outlet’s interiors while retaining its all-day food, beverage and community-focused format.
The redesigned space takes inspiration from Church Street’s architectural and cultural character. Large openings in the façade connect the outlet with the street, while the interiors combine brickwork, art deco-inspired elements and terrariums. The design also incorporates retro Kannada hand-painted advertisements, the Nazar Battu, street-side arcade gaming and references to South Indian comic culture.
The renovation uses elements associated with Bengaluru’s street culture and local visual history. Washroom design and LED lighting also draw from the street’s public spaces and festive atmosphere, while the outlet retains SOCIAL’s established grunge-inspired aesthetic.
Riyaaz Amlani, Founder & Managing Director, Impresario Entertainment & Hospitality Pvt. Ltd., said, “Church Street is where SOCIAL first found its voice, so returning to this space came with a responsibility to understand what made it matter in the first place. It was never only about the four walls. It was about the street outside, the people who came through the doors and the freedom to make the space their own. As SOCIAL has grown, that belief has remained central to how we think about our neighbourhoods. With the reimagined Church Street SOCIAL, we are carrying that original spirit forward while creating room for a new generation to add its own layer to the story.”
The outlet continues to operate as an all-day dining and socialising destination, catering to customers across coffee, work meetings, lunches, evening gatherings and late-night visits. Its food menu includes established SOCIAL offerings such as Fully Reloaded Nachos, Ghee Roast Masala Paneer, Chaats and China Boxes. The beverage menu retains signature drinks including L.L.I.T. and Banarasi Patiala.
Church Street SOCIAL will also continue hosting music events, artist collaborations and cultural programmes. These activities remain part of the outlet’s operating format, alongside its food and beverage services.
The reopening brings the brand’s original Bengaluru outlet back into operation with updated interiors and a refreshed customer experience, while retaining its existing menu-led and cultural positioning.
