With new restaurant in Kolkata, Burger King is now present in all Indian metro cities

Burger King has launched its first restaurant in Kolkata, strengthening its presence in East India. With this launch, the burger chain is now present across all Indian metro cities.

Burger King started its journey in India with the introduction of its first restaurant in November 2014 at Select CityWalk mall in South Delhi. Since then, the brand has been on a robust expansion strategy with presence across 46 cities and 212 outlets.

Burger King has a strong presence in metros and tier 1 cities and has also forayed into tier-II cities. Recently, it has achieved the 200th restaurant milestone in a short time span of five years.

Rajeev Varman, CEO, Burger King India, said, “We have had an incredible journey in India and we are happy to launch our operations in Kolkata today. We understand that people in Kolkata take immense pride in their food and we are very excited to offer Burger King’s signature Burgers through our first restaurant here.”
