
Westlife Foodworld Limited, which operates McDonald’s restaurants in West and South India through Hardcastle Restaurants Pvt. Ltd., reported a strong start to FY27 with revenue growth, higher same-store sales and continued restaurant expansion.
The company reported revenue of Rs 7.36 billion for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, representing a 12 percent year-on-year increase. Growth was supported by higher guest traffic and continued traction from the company's value-focused offerings. Same Store Sales Growth (SSSG) improved to 4.3 percent, with May and June delivering mid-single-digit growth levels.
Demand remained steady across both on-premise and off-premise channels. Dine-in and takeaway sales accounted for 59 percent of system sales, while McDelivery continued to register healthy growth and remained a key contributor to the business. As of June 30, 2026, Westlife Foodworld operated 482 restaurants across 79 cities. The company remains on track to achieve its target of 580-630 restaurants by December 2027.
Operating EBITDA increased 11 percent year-on-year to Rs 946 million, while Cash PAT stood at Rs 517 million, representing 7 percent of sales. Restaurant Operating Margin was 18.6 percent, while Operating EBITDA margin stood at 12.9 percent.
The company said its affordability-led strategy continued to drive customer engagement, with the Rs 99 Everyday Value platform contributing to guest count growth during the quarter. During the period, McDonald's also launched its "Let's Family at McD" campaign to mark 30 years of McDonald's in India.

Despite near-term inflationary pressures, we continued to deliver sustained profitability while strengthening customer engagement across channels. Digital engagement remained a significant part of the business. Digital channels contributed approximately 74 percent of sales, while the McDonald's app ecosystem crossed 55 million cumulative downloads. Monthly active users exceeded 3.7 million during the quarter.
The performance reflects continued momentum in India's organised quick-service restaurant sector, with operators focusing on affordability, digital adoption and network expansion to drive growth.
