Nuvola Spirits Pvt. Ltd., a premium spirits company focused on international-inspired beverage brands, has secured a strategic investment from United Spirits Limited (USL), marking a new phase of growth for the business.
Under the agreement, USL will invest Rs 2.69 crore in exchange for a 10.08 percent stake in Nuvola Spirits. The investment highlights growing interest in India's premium craft beverage segment and reflects increasing consumer demand for international drinking categories.
Founded in 2023 by Aakriti Kochhar Sachdeva and Raghav Sachdeva, Nuvola Spirits was established with the objective of introducing global beverage concepts to Indian consumers. The company's portfolio includes Mikiamo Italian Liqueurs and Seoulmate, a Korean-inspired soju brand.
The investment follows the launch of Mikiamo in 2024 and the subsequent expansion of the company's portfolio. Nuvola Spirits said the partnership will help support expansion plans, strengthen distribution and accelerate the introduction of additional premium international spirits brands in India.
Aakriti Kochhar Sachdeva and Raghav Sachdeva, Co-founders, Nuvola Spirits, said, "This partnership marks a defining moment for Nuvola Spirits. From day one, our ambition has been to build world-class spirits brands that celebrate authentic global drinking traditions while resonating with the modern Indian consumer. Having USL partner with us is a strong validation of our vision and the journey we've been on. Their investment and belief in our business will help us accelerate growth, strengthen our portfolio and continue building brands that redefine India's premium craft spirits landscape."
Praveen Someshwar, MD & CEO, Diageo India (USL), said, "India’s craft alcobev landscape is evolving rapidly, creating exciting opportunities for differentiated brands and new consumer propositions. Nuvola Spirits is tapping into this shift with a distinctive portfolio across emerging categories. Our investment reflects our conviction in backing bold entrepreneurs and innovative Indian craft brands with the potential to shape the future of the industry."
The investment comes as India's premium beverage market continues to see increased activity from both established players and emerging brands. Industry participants are increasingly focusing on premiumisation and new beverage categories as consumers explore international flavours and craft-led drinking experiences.
