Tipsy Tabby has launched its range of fruit wine seltzers in India, introducing a new low-calorie alcoholic beverage category aimed at consumers seeking lighter drinking options. The brand's offerings are made using real fruit, contain 40 calories per bottle and are crafted with 5 percent ABV.
The launch reflects changing consumer preferences within India's alcoholic beverage market, where demand for lighter and flavour-forward drinks continues to grow. Positioned for casual social occasions, the brand is targeting consumers looking for alternatives to traditional alcoholic beverages. Currently available in Guava, Lime and Pineapple variants, Tipsy Tabby combines fruit wine with the characteristics of a seltzer. The products are currently available at select retail outlets across Mumbai.
Built around the philosophy of "Kholo, Piyo, Mazze Karo… Guilt Free!", the brand has been developed by a family with a background in organic farming. The founders spent several months researching and developing a beverage that brings together sparkling wine-inspired characteristics with the accessibility of a seltzer format.
Akshay Kasbekar, Partner, Tipsy Tabby, said, "We created Tipsy Tabby with a simple vision: to make drinking lighter, more enjoyable, and better suited to today's lifestyle. Consumers are becoming increasingly conscious of what they eat and drink, and we wanted to offer something that reflects that shift without compromising on flavour or the overall experience. With just 40 calories per bottle, real fruit, and a refreshing taste, Tipsy Tabby is our way of bringing a fresh perspective to India's drinking culture."
Akshay Kasbekar is a second-generation farmer and holds an MBA in Agribusiness from Symbiosis along with a WSET Level 2 certification in wines. The company plans to expand its retail presence across India and introduce additional flavours as it looks to build awareness around fruit wine seltzers within the country's growing ready-to-drink alcohol segment.
