The Farm Stay by AamaGhati Opens in Ranthambore with 10 Rooms

Black Rock Hotels & Resorts has opened The Farm Stay by AamaGhati, a 10-key boutique property in Village Sherpur, Ranthambore. The property, formerly a private family residence owned by Abhishek Hissaria, has been converted into a hospitality retreat focused on nature-based stays, wildlife observation and local experiences.

Each of the 10 rooms measures about 700 sq. ft. and includes a separate living area and private balcony overlooking the surrounding landscape. The property also features outdoor seating, lawns and a rooftop terrace from which guests can observe wildlife, including chital, sambar and langurs. Its grounds attract several bird species, such as Indian scops owls, rufous treepies, white-throated kingfishers and black drongos.

Food and beverage operations at the property include a restaurant supported by a working farm and an attached strawberry farm. Produce from the growing areas is used in meals, while the dining programme includes regional preparations and multi-cuisine options. Guests can also access outdoor breakfasts, garden dining and high tea.

Gaurav Mudgal, Managing Director, Black Rock Hotels & Resorts, said, “What makes The Farm Stay special is that the house sits within the jungle landscape itself. Guests can spend time on the terrace and spot deer such as chital and sambar moving through the surrounding wilderness, while langurs and birds are often visible in the trees. Ranthambore is sometimes reduced to one question: did you see a tiger? We wanted to create a stay where the hours outside the park are equally meaningful. The property's strength lies in its scale, history, and natural surroundings, and our role has been to preserve that intimacy while bringing in the service standards of a professionally managed retreat.”

The property also offers cultural activities, including demonstrations by local potters and lac bangle makers, along with folk music and performances. Other facilities include the Star Dust Observatory for stargazing, a swimming pool, the Sri Sri Wellbeing Centre, a games room and a children's activity area.

Guests can arrange safaris in Ranthambore National Park, as well as visits to Ranthambore Fort, Trinetra Ganesh Temple and the Chambal region for river safaris.

Abhishek Hissaria, Owner, AamaGhati, said, “This was our home before it became a hotel, and we did not want to lose that feeling when we decided to open it to guests. Ranthambore is at its best when you give it time. Some of my favourite moments here have nothing to do with being inside a safari vehicle. They are the mornings when the birds take over the trees, watching animals move through the wider landscape, or simply sitting outside and listening to the forest. The Farm Stay grew out of that very personal relationship with the place.”

The property is managed by Black Rock Hotels & Resorts and becomes the company's second hospitality offering in Ranthambore, alongside AamaGhati Wildlife Resort. While the latter operates as a destination resort, The Farm Stay follows a smaller residential-style format centred on privacy, birdwatching and nature-based experiences.
