The Dark Side, a new underground restaurant by Chef and Owner Aditya Mohan, has opened in the M Block Market in Greater Kailash 2, Delhi. The restaurant is built around the Seven Deadly Sins as its central theme, extending the concept across its food, cocktails and interiors.
Located below street level, the restaurant combines dining and drinking in an intimate format. The concept focuses on indulgent food, cocktails and a relaxed social setting rather than a formal dining experience.
The food menu draws from Chef Aditya’s experiences of London nightlife and the meals he and other chefs would turn to after service. Dishes include Chef Adi’s Tiramisu, BBQ Chicken Wings, Mac n Cheese with Chorizo, the Anthony Bourdain Sandwich and a Grilled Cheese Sandwich.
The bar menu translates the Seven Deadly Sins concept into seven signature cocktails, with each drink built around a different flavour profile. The drinks are designed to complement the restaurant’s casual approach to dining and socialising.
The Dark Side is positioned separately from its sister venue, Refuge. While Refuge focuses on precision-led, spirit-forward cocktails, The Dark Side takes a more relaxed approach centred on food, drinks and atmosphere.
“The Dark Side is really an extension of how I love to host. I’ve always believed the best evenings are the ones that feel effortless , good food being passed around, beautifully crafted cocktails, music playing in the background and conversations that go on much longer than planned. We wanted to recreate that feeling, but tuck it away somewhere unexpected. The idea is to discover a hidden place, come in with your favourite people, indulge a little and let the evening take its own course. The Dark Side is playful, intimate and unapologetically indulgent - essentially, the kind of dinner party I’d want to throw myself,” said Chef and Owner Aditya Mohan.
