SpiceKlub by Gupta Brands has expanded its Mumbai presence with the opening of a new outlet in Babulnath, marking its second restaurant in the city after Lower Parel. The launch gives the pure-vegetarian restaurant brand a presence in South Mumbai, an established market for vegetarian dining.
The Babulnath outlet follows SpiceKlub’s approach of combining traditional Indian flavours with molecular gastronomy and modern presentations. Its menu includes signature dishes such as Pav Bhaji Fondue, Pani Puri, Naanza, Moti Paneer Makhani, Papads of India and Flower Pot Dessert, along with beverages, desserts under SpiceKlub Mithaas and seasonal chef specials. While the appetisers, beverages and desserts feature more experimental formats, the main-course menu remains based on traditional Indian recipes, with several spice blends sourced from Punjab.
Aditya Gupta, Partner, Gupta Brands, said, "SpiceKlub was born from the idea of bringing together authentic Indian flavours with a touch of whimsy, creating a dining experience that's both familiar and unexpected. While our presentations have evolved over the years, our commitment to quality, taste and consistency has never changed. South Mumbai has always been an important market for us, and we're excited to finally bring the SpiceKlub experience to Babulnath. We hope to become a restaurant that guests think of not just for celebrations, but for everyday dining with family and friends."
The new restaurant has been designed with an old-world-inspired setting and currently accommodates approximately 45 guests indoors. A terrace with an additional 30 covers is planned for the winter months. The format is intended to cater to family dining, celebrations and private gatherings.
The Babulnath opening is part of Gupta Brands' wider expansion plans for SpiceKlub, with upcoming outlets planned in Nashik and Ahmedabad.
