Shangri-La Appoints Hakan Ozel to Oversee Three Flagship Hotels in London, Paris and Istanbul

Shangri-La Group has appointed Hakan Ozel as Vice President, Operations, with responsibility for three of its European properties: Shangri-La The Shard, London; Shangri-La Paris; and Shangri-La Bosphorus, Istanbul.

Ozel brings more than 28 years of international hospitality experience, including over two decades with Shangri-La. His background includes luxury hotel operations and senior leadership roles across Asia and the Middle East.

Before this appointment, Ozel served as Vice President, Operations for the Middle East and General Manager of Shangri-La Dubai. During his tenure, he focused on the hotel’s market positioning, operational performance and service standards.

In his new role, Ozel will focus on hotel operations, commercial performance and guest experience across the three properties. The appointment brings the London, Paris and Istanbul hotels under his operational oversight as the group continues to manage its luxury hospitality portfolio across key European markets.
